Today I’d like to tell you about my bucket list for 2012. I know it’s already past mid-February but as you’ll learn when you do your own list, it can be tricky to find good ideas to aim for.
One of the big items on my list is to finish my new membership website. The site is going to help people with exactly the task I’ve struggled with for the past few weeks: coming up with great ideas for a bucket list. The site will have ideas from a variety of life areas and there will be great content for people of all interests!
Another big item on my bucket list for 2012 is obtaining a black belt in the martial art Aikido. I’m very excited about this one and I’ve already begun attending classes and training. I think it will help me in many areas of my life as it’ll keep me in shape, give me confidence and most importantly, an exciting goal to keep me moving in 2012!
A few other goals include jumping out of an airplane, and going parasailing in Europe. I’m also in the process of building a home-gym which will help me stay in shape over the course of the year. As you can see, my list is all about fun and health because those are very important to me. Of course, your list can be different which is why the Living Your Bucket List membership site will have such a diverse range of categories.
My most exciting goal for this year is to compete in the Tough Mudder competition. Regarded as “Probably the toughest event on the planet,” Tough Mudder is a 12 mile obstacle course. As you’ll see in the video below, this thing is no joke! It is a real test of endurance and fitness which is why I’ve already begun to train for it. The event is held in many cities around the world. The one near me is in June so that is the date my fitness regimen is aimed for.
From my list above, I hope you can get a sense of how I come up with ideas for my list. They’re all things that I enjoy, and they all include a challenging aspect, whether it’s physical or emotional. This makes each item interesting, as well as motivating because I know I have to work hard to achieve them. Over the next few weeks, I will keep you updated on my new website, which will be your source for whatever goals you have for your own bucket list.
